I had the pleasure of working closely with Sharon when she was appointed as Director of the care home where I was employed. It quickly became evident that she was a formidable leader, consistently expecting the highest standards from the carers. She provided them with unwavering guidance and support, all while personally overseeing residents' cognitive exercises and occupational therapy with remarkable passion and vigour. Sharon's approach made residents feel at ease and proud of their accomplishments. She also introduced an on-call doctor, physiotherapist, and highly qualified wound specialists to ensure residents received top-tier care. Sharon was our rock—nothing was ever too much trouble, and no problem too big.​

Families grew very fond of her, knowing their loved ones were in reliable hands. They could reach out to her at any time to discuss concerns. For some, caring for the elderly is just a job; for Sharon, it's a true passion.​

Sharon cared for my mum and ailing dad with immense love, compassion, and empathy. The residents were always her top priority. I am forever grateful for everything she did for my parents.

 

Sharon Jacobs managed the care home where both my parents resided during the final years of their lives. They were exceptionally well cared for, always well-fed, groomed, and their living spaces kept impeccably clean. Under Sharon's vigilant leadership, the staff were professional, courteous, and responsive to any queries or concerns. Sharon's empathy and compassion were evident; she often spent time with residents, engaging them in conversations or reading to them. She ensured they remained active with art projects, puzzles, and even took the time to teach my mum how to knit. When my dad passed away, Sharon provided immense comfort to my mum, who sadly passed not long after. My siblings and I are deeply grateful for her kindness and dedication to both our parents.

Sharon cared for my mum, Beryl, from March 2021 until November 2023. By the time Sharon joined the care home, my mum had been a resident since 2019. Sharon brought a vibrant energy, reaching out to learn what activities and music my mum enjoyed, integrating them into her daily routine. She took the time to understand each resident's preferences, making their days more fulfilling. Sharon is incredibly kind, caring, and understanding. Both my mum and the other residents adored her. Living thousands of miles away, Sharon was my saving grace. I wholeheartedly recommend her to care for anyone, especially the elderly.​

Sharon’s unwavering help, support and experience has proved to be invaluable to us. Her professionalism and compassion shines through all her interactions with us, her patients and carers alike. We have built a trusted and collaborative relationship with Sharon, and nothing is ever too much for her, with every request being handled with careful thought and consideration and her lovely sense of humour.
